The Hoperation Fund is a student-led charitable investment fund that raises money, invests in the stock market, and donates the profits to nonprofits that are often overlooked—especially those working in human welfare, environmental protection, and education in underserved regions.
We also aim to close the gap between school and real life by helping students learn the essential skills schools often neglect—like saving, budgeting, and investing—so they can take charge of their financial future.

(2026. 2.15) We’ve invited our advisor, Mr. Penley, to speak at our monthly meeting on March 1. His talk, “The World of Professional Trading,” will draw on more than twenty years of experience in professional trading and investing, with a focus on quantitative strategy development. Over his career, Mr. Penley has led multiple teams building and deploying sophisticated technology for market analysis and trading across stocks, futures, and options. This background gives him a rare, behind-the-scenes view of how institutional players operate. In this talk, he will break down the world of professional trading and explain how advanced strategies work in real practice.
